Production Associate Manager/Manager

Job description

Maintain normal operation of production Lab by organizing and participating in the production of antibodies and recombinant antigens according to established procedures and ISO Quality Management System. Manage production priority through communication with other departments. Optimize and standardize production process. Monitor working environment and keep document traceable. Supervise and train junior staff and interns.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Supervise production scheduling to meet internal and external customer needs
  • Maintain product and material inventory, reduce aging inventory waste
  • Manage on time production of monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, and other biologics
  • Manage and control equipment and production non-conformity
  • Troubleshoot production problems and maintain excellent documentation
  • Improve and standardize production process per ISO Quality System requirement
  • Lead production transfer process in collaboration with R&D scientist
  • Supervise and train team members to finish assigned jobs efficiently, maintain a stable and competent team
  • Effectively communicate with direct supervisor and relevant departments to ensure sufficient product stock, and urgent customer needs taken care of
  • Review quality records including production records, perform periodic data analysis, identify opportunities for improvement, execute corrective and preventive action if warranted

Master + degree in life sciences with 2-3 years of relevant production management experience.

  • Experience in production of recombinant proteins and antibodies (expression and purification of recombinant proteins using different expression systems, generation of purified antibodies from cell culture, ascites, and immunized animal serum)
  • Virus culture experience is a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with GMP, GLP or ISO Quality system
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills, experience in FileMaker program is a plus
  • Analytic, and detail oriented
  • Ability to multi-task
