With already 1760 confirmed dengue cases this year Brazil is worrying about the dramatic increase in cases compared to last year which only had 8 cases.
Rodolfo Poliseli, head of the 11th Regional Health Campo Mourao, said that there are several new contributing factors to this increase. The mosquitoes have adapted to new situations like colder weather, and residents are more relaxed since last year the outbreak levels were very low.
