Over 31,000 Dengue Cases in Malaysia this year

As the rainy season comes into full swing the effects of dengue fever are starting to create major health concerns in Malaysia and surrounding countries.  With over 31,000 reported cases of Dengue this year and 100 deaths the numbers are quickly surpassing last year’s with four months still remaining.

With over a 45% increase increase in deaths since last year the Malaysian Health Minister has submitted a report to the cabinet to review the epidemic.  This increase in dengue fever is not only affecting Malaysia, but also affecting Singapore and Thailand as well.
