January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. Did you know that in the United States over 10,000 women are diagnosed with invasive forms of cervical cancer each year?
3 Things you can do:
- Vaccinate early: Children, both male and female can receive the HPV vaccine at age 11 or 12.
- Pap Tests: Regular Pap tests are recommended for women over the age of 21.
- Pap and HPV co-tests: Recommended for women starting on their 30th birthday.
Prevention and regular screenings are key in preventing death from cervical cancer.
