IVD Business Development

Reports To: Assistant Vice President of Sales & Assistant Vice President of Sales Operations

Located in San Diego, CTK Biotech develops and manufactures innovative immunodiagnostic tools and point of care diagnostic test kits for the IVD community worldwide. Our IVD products allow medical professionals to quickly and accurately diagnose disease and meet patient needs.  The simplicity and portability of our diagnostic solutions make them ideally suited for use in a wide range of settings including remote locations and countries with large populations where complicated medical diagnostics are not readily available

As a Business Development you have the opportunity to join CTK’s dynamic team that is providing a range of research and clinical diagnostic solutions to the global IVD market and Life Science markets. Your role will be to increase market demand across the CTK product systems including Lateral Flow, ELISA, Chemiluminescence, PCR and companion instruments through direct identification and collaboration with regional distributors, labs, universities and premier healthcare institutions around the globe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, select and develop distributors qualified to successfully represent CTK Products
  • Collaborate with distributors to develop new business and/or to expand existing businesses within the assigned region.
  • Negotiate pricing agreements that balance the needs of the organization with the needs of the distributor
  • Conduct market tours, meeting with end users and distributors to collect market feedback, conduct business planning, make product presentations, troubleshoot and train distributor sales staff
  • Representation of CTK Products at International Tradeshows
  • Assess the opportunities and propose effective strategies for positioning CTK products within each market
  • Outline and record the market environment and business potential related to CTK products
  • Outline opportunities accessible through each assigned account and initiate action to achieve them
  • Establish and maintain relationships that involve cooperation and regular communication with each account
  • Manage distributor quotas and purchase levels of assigned accounts to ensure achievement of assigned CTK sales targets
  • Reach quarterly sales targets

Education and/or Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in IVD, B2B sales or Channel Management required.
  • Experience and knowledge in medical device industry, clinical laboratory and life science practices a plus.
  • Bachelor of Business or Biomedical Science or related field required. MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
  • International experience preferred. Multilingual is a plus.
