Equipment Maintenance Specialist

CTK Biotech develops, manufactures and markets diagnostic kits worldwide. Its focus is on infectious diseases and biomarkers. It intends to recruit highly motivated scientists for its product development team to manage its growing product lines.

Position Summary

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for routine maintenance and minor repairs of laboratory equipment.

Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, in either verbal or written form.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs of laboratory equipment
  • Coordinate or perform calibration of all equipment
  • Write or assist in writing instructions for the validation of equipment (IQ, OQ, PQ)
  • Perform some of the validation testing. Equipment includes: centrifuges, filling machines, UV monitors, etc.
  • Maintain documentation and records
  • Other duties as may be assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • BS/BA degree, completed or in progress, in biochemistry, engineering or related field
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to work alone and in conjunction with a team

Preferred Knowledge, Skill and Experience                     

  • Experience in laboratory equipment maintenance/repair; however, we will consider someone with experience in biochemistry or engineering with a predilection to work on instruments
  • 2-4 years of experience in biotech industry or laboratory setting
  • Will consider an experienced person willing to work part-time
  • Experience in a regulated industry, preferably under GMP
  • Experience with statistical analysis
