Marketing Manager

Simplifying diagnostics and Improving global health. Located in San Diego (Poway), CTK Biotech develops and manufactures innovative medical diagnostic tests for both clinical and research applications. Our IVD products allow medical professionals to meet patient needs by quickly and accurately diagnosing illness.  The simplicity and portability of our test kits makes them suited for use in a wide range of settings including remote and underresourced settings.

CTK is looking for an experienced marketing professional to join our team as we expand our already large product portfolio into new technologies and markets.  CTK is a fast-paced IVD manufacturer, delivering and improving diagnostics across the world. As you bring your experience and talent to the global market, you will make a positive impact to global healthcare by promoting an array of products, from simple test kits to digital diagnostic instrumentation solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

  • Responsible for all marketing initiatives for CTK’s growing diagnostics catalog, including molecular, quantitative screening tests, and digital instrumentation systems.
  • Collect pertinent end user, competitor, and other market data for future product pipeline and post market feedback collection.
  • Communicate inputs from commercial side for any and all product development projects. Act as ‘voice of the end user and market’ in early product development planning and throughout the development process.
  • Creation of marketing strategies and action plans for newly developed products and priority products within the current catalog.
  • Increasing of CTK’s multiple brand’s strength and recognition on the global IVD stage
  • Close collaboration with multiple departments including sales and regulatory ensuring company objectives are fully supported by the marketing department
  • Manage project progress including budgets, resources and timelines
  • Responsible for the quality of outputs including product catalogs, messaging, labeling, translation services, and OEM support.
  • Management of CTK’s website, social media, and other modes of communication to public
  • Manage all major tradeshow activities, including locating new events per company objectives
  • Develop marketing department’s current team with a passion for marketing leading to improved collaboration, efficiency, creativity and drive of this team.
  • Perform tasks following established quality standards and procedures

Other duties as may be assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum MS in Life Science required; PhD highly desired. Marketing or business education a plus
  • 3+ years of product development and/or marketing experience in the IVD field or PhD with good marketing sense and desire
  • Experience in both hard copy and digital marketing
  • Strong understanding of various diagnostic techniques including molecular

Preferred Knowledge, Skill and Experience

Computer Skills:                                                            

  • Adept at Microsoft office suite
  • Experience with Bartender software a plus

  • Exceptional public speaking skills needed to represent corporation at external meetings, conferences and organizations.
  • Executes sound judgment, analyzes issues, thinks strategically, creatively, and uses innovative ideas.
  • Able to present high level information for multiple audiences.
  • Experience organizing and communicating technical information and training materials that meet customer and sales needs.
  • Demonstrates exceptional problem solving, decision-making, conflict management, change management and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
