Molecular Sales Specialist

CTK Biotech develops, manufactures and markets diagnostic kits worldwide. Its focus is on infectious diseases and biomarkers. It intends to recruit highly motivated scientists for its product development team to manage its growing product lines.

Position Summary

The Molecular Sales Specialist (MSS) will be responsible for the sales of CTK’s Molecular product line within a defined territory. Initially, the MSS will be responsible for calling on international distributors to create demand for CTK Molecular products. The MSS will also work in tandem with CTK’s sales force by hosting sales force and end user training events with the goal of increasing adoption of CTK’s Molecular products worldwide. The MSS will be responsible for driving new business, enhancing customer relationships while meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, select and develop distributors qualified to successfully represent CTK Molecular Products
  • Negotiate pricing agreements that balance the needs of the organization with the needs of the distributor
  • Present technical seminars to distributors and end users
  • Conduct market tours, meeting with end users and distributors to collect market feedback, conduct business planning, make product presentations, troubleshoot and train distributor sales staff
  • Assess the opportunities and propose effective strategies for positioning CTK products within each market
  • Outline opportunities accessible through each assigned account and initiate action to achieve them

Education and/or Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in IVD, Life Science, B2B sales or Channel Management experience required
  • Background in biomedical or molecular sciences required
  • International experience required
  • Technical sales experience required
  • Multilingual is a plus

Preferred Knowledge, Skill and Experience                   

Computer Skills                                                             

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and all Office applications

  • Ability to articulate technical details and explain differences among IVD products in a convincing manner
