Mouse Anti-Zika Virus NS1 Monoclonal Antibody

Zika virus (ZIKV) is an RNA virus of the Flaviviridae family, and is structurally close to dengue and chikungunya viruses. ZIKV can be transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes and sexual contact. The association of ZIKV infection with microcephaly and neurological diseases has recently highlighted a globally emerging public health concern.

ZIKV NS1 (Non-Structural protein 1) is a glycoprotein that serves as a major host-interaction molecule that functions in flaviviral replication, pathogenesis and immune evasion 1. The recently solved structure of ZIKV NS1 has indicated it has unique surface characteristics that can be exploited in the development of novel diagnostic tools for Zika infection.

B7161 was generated against recombinant Zika NS1 protein expressed from insect cells and purified from hybridoma cell culture via protein A affinity chromatography.
